I used this TouchDesigner project as an opportunity to dive further into materials and real-time map generation. By visualizing noise and stretching it over a feedback loop, I created rainbow lights which flashed their way up the object. I wanted to add some amount of interactivity, so I added another, much brighter noise and feedback loop map generator, which would be overlaid onto the other maps when the user pressed or held "E". The result was a bright burst of colorful light which worked its way up the object. Finally, I wanted the object itself to be visually interesting, and thus added twist, transform, and copy modifiers to a sphere, creating a tight spiral shape. Through this project, I learned a lot about generating and utilizing material maps, as well as how TouchDesigner utilizes geometry modifiers.
