For this Unreal Engine project, I wanted to utilize TouchDesigner within Unreal Engine to create a dynamically changing texture. I utilized NDI to use a TouchDesigner image output as a texture, then setup a TouchDesigner project to modify input webcam footage, removing the background and applying a semitransparent, blue hologram look. In Unreal Engine, I created a sci-fi room environment to display the "hologram mirror" within. The hologram reflects off the metallic walls to add to the environmental immersion. Finally, I utilized Unreal Engine's CineCamera to give the entire scene a higher quality, more professional visual look when played. Through this project, I learned a lot about bridging the gap between TouchDesigner and Unreal Engine to allow for higher levels of interactivity in my projects, as well as designing high quality, professional looking scenes.
